Hey Karla! For those with implants and replacements we always recommend you check with your specialist if Infrared sauna is ok. Typically it is, but there are certain materials, as well as doctors with personal preferences, that will recommend avoiding.

Hey Peggy! Sometimes goals will make a difference on perfered therapy timing, you can email us if you have specific goals. But for general wellness, we don't recommend a specific time of the day. 20-25 minutes daily is typically plenty for most clients. We also live by the omerta that something is always better than nothing when it comes to making positive wellness actions :)

Length of the product is 72"... 6'2" is about the maximum height to fit this product up to the shoulders. The HEALiX-Z provides just slightly more compartment room. Typically, it does not make a difference, but in this case, the extra 1/2" or so might be notable.

Our HEALiX-Z is a zipper seam. The upside of the zipper is that it provides for easier exit/entry and just slightly, slightly more room in the compartment. The original HEALiX is a velcro seam. The benefits of the velcro are enhanced durability, and better insulation if your goals entail reaching highest possible temperatures within the compartment. Other than that, it's just some aesthetics with our branding on the products, which you should be able to see through the displayed photos

We do have a special order request for that, it is not standard in our models. please reach out to support@healixinfrared.com for that request. Our blanket is designed to be a direct replacement for a free standing wooden infrared sauna. Level of perspiration is highly dependent on the individual, with some need less time and lower temps, and others need more time and higher temps. Overall we have a very high customer satisfaction and low return rate.

Our sauna blankets do come with a shoulder carry bag, they don't come with an insert. The only major difference between this and the original HEALiX Blanket is the seam. The original is velcro, and this one is a zipper seam. Other than that, its just some aesthetic difference with the logo. There are specifications on the blanket under the "specifications" tab on the product page. I have limited space to respond here.

Hey Johanna, this isn't our red light therapy product. This is our sauna product, which leverages far and mid infrared, not red light. Far, mid, and near infrared are not on the visible spectrum, and capable of passing through thin materials. Sounds like you might be associated red light with infrared, but they are different wavelengths and different light therapies. Hey Chris! Unfortunately, we don't have any feedback from a CRPS client specifically. We are not aware of any possible complications with infrared therapy and CRPS, but we do know that heat therapy is a common intervention for the condition. Whenever anyone with a diagnosis starts up a new wellness routine or product, we recommend they speak to their specialist.

It can be used on most any surface, a bare floor is actually not our recommendation. A bed, couch or massage table works best. You want some sort of insulation below the unit.

As long as there are no underlying health issues which may be direct contraindications to infrared, yes. With every user, despite age, personal preference, as well as goals, plays a large roll in comfort of the session. But we have many clients in the 65+ age range using this product.

Our Mats are made in a FDA certified manufacturing facility. They come through FDA customs as a class II medical device, however, we have no plans to apply for FDA approval specifically for the device. After reviewing the process and requirements, we do not find it to be of value. There is little requirement past paying a fee.

The inner liner is waterproof which makes clean up simple! After the session is over, open up the unit and you can wipe up any excess sweat with a towel. For sanitation, we recommend a mixture of water and organic essential oil with antibacterial qualities. This mixture can be sprayed on, left to sit a few minutes then wiped up. OR, this can be left on to dry. The product can handle any type of cleaner, but this is our recommendation. We also sell a towel liner, making clean up even easier.

Our HEALiX units are designed in multiples of 2 degrees F, so you can set it at 99 or 101F. We do not recommend running the unit for longer than 60 minutes continuously, although, at a low level like 101F a short pause of 3-5 minutes should be sufficient in-between 60 minute intervals.

Hello Jonathan! The HEALiX is 72 inches long. Unfortunately, anyone over 6' 2" is going to have their shoulders protruding from the unit. This is only a problem if heavy sweat and detox are your goals. We have fit individuals over 300lbs in the product.
